Includes the names of the then masters and fellows of each college and of the magistrates and officers. At the end is a list of the Masters of St. John's College since its foundation in 1508, and two verses. A few additions of 1624. Coats of arms in trick. Dedicated to Robert Allott, fellow of St. John's College.

Thomas Alfred Walker (1862-1935), historian, was born on 16 February 1862, and educated privately and at Owens College, Manchester. He entered Peterhouse, Cambridge, in 1882, where he became a Fellow in 1886, and was dean, 1887-1900, tutor, 1897-1907, and bursar and librarian, 1904-1924. Walker was admitted at the Inner Temple in 1886.
